Wow. This time I was gone even longer than my previous brief absence. I am not going to post much right now but I will do so later. I have a whole summer of information to impart. Topics that I will cover include my summer reading, the movies that I went to, school, the Olympics and probably a lot of stuff that I have forgotten. Well I should go before I fall asleep at my computer once again.

It's been a couple of days since I have posted anything but I have a good reason for this, at least I think so. For some unknown reason my left wrist decided that it wanted to rebel against me and has been in constant pain for the last few days. I have hardly been able to do anything because of it: I can't hold a book so it is interesting trying to read and I have to do all of my typing with only my right hand. Luckily I am right-handed so it is not as bad as it could be. I guess I'll have to see what the doctor says about it. As for schoolwork, I read a couple of interesting articles in the last couple of days: one about H.G. Wells's use of Thomas Henry Huxley's theory of evolution, one on women in Darwin and Tennyson and one on science in Tennyson's poetry. I'm going to try to work on one of my essays.

I had intentions of doing so much work today but I have done nothing. I wanted to work on a couple of my essays and to read a couple of articles. Hopefully I will do some of this later tonight. I still have a couple of hours to work. All I have to do now is decide what I want to do and what era to focus on. Renaissance or Victorian?

One of the groups that I am a member of was having an online election this week. I typed up my vote in an email but instead of pressing send I accidentally hit save as draft. Of course by the time I realized this the polls had been closed. Hopefully the election goes the way that I wanted it to.

I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything here yet. I've been really busy with school and hope to post more soon. Right now I'm working on five essays and an annotated bibliography, preparing to write my thesis, creating a syllabus for a directed study on fairy tales, working on a number of conference papers and abstracts and trying to find a job. On top of this I have a huge list of books that I need and/or want to read. I also have dozens of story ideas that I want to write; I should probably write them down so I don't forget them. Hopefully I'll write another message soon. I'm off to read an article about Tennyson, poetry and the mythology of dying swans.
